When deciding on your accommodation in Scotland, you have a wide range of options. From hostels, to B&Bs, your typical hotels, or even Scotish Castles. The choice is yours!Your budget and the size of your party will likely determine your choice of accommodation.

Hostels are often your cheapest choice Hostels are cheap if you're happy to share a room with a number of other people, however if you're looking for a private room for yourself, or yourself and someone else, you may find Bed & Breakfasts to be the same price. Bed & Breakfasts are typically a good value There doesn't seem to be any shortage of Bed & Breakfasts/Guesthouses in Scotland. If you find you want to travel to a smaller town, this may be your only option. Staying at a B & B will give you a chance to experience Scottish hospitality, and start your day of with a full Scottish breakfast, which typically consists of toast, egg(s), brown beans, fried mushrooms, tomato, bacon and/or sausage. If you're vegetarian, most Bed & Breakfasts will have a sepearate vegetarian option, or simply ask for yours without the meat. A good resource for Guest houses and B&Bs is the Scottish Accommodation Index Why not stay in a Castle? For those who aren't bugdet minded and looking to get as much out of their trip to Scotland as possible, there are a number of castles which offer accomodation.
